You just saw that photo and got the chills. You got really grossed out. You are speechless. Well, that’s just one of the causes and effects of bullying. Did you know about 30,000 Americans commit suicide every year? Did you know that for people between the ages of 15 and 24, suicide is the third leading cause of death? Did you know that an average of one person dies by suicide every 16.2 minutes? Did you know that nearly 30 percent of students are either bullies or victims of bullying, and 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying? Those stares you give people, the laughs, the words spoken behind someones back, those are the things that cause someone to commit suicide. If someone has hurt you or been obnoxious to you, be the bigger person and don’t say or do anything back. Ignore him or her. Because if one day you find out that a person you know that you once bullied has committed suicide, you will have to live with that for the rest of your life. Imagine the guilt that would be inescapable. Bullying isn’t only direct, or physical, or over the internet, it could be the things you say behind someones back. Bullying can lead to eating disorders. It could lead to cutting. And most of all, it can lead to DEATH. There is nothing you gain from bullying someone, so STOP. Stop with the drama. Stop with the stares. Stop with the laughs. Stop with the talking behind someones back. Stop with all of it. Stop the bullying. Please reblog if you agree that this bullying needs to stop.
